Kathy &  Pastor Dave Buchanan
 
 
The Reverend David P. Buchanan II is a native of Bangor, Maine. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Maine, and a Master of Divinity degree from Bangor Theological Seminary.
 
Following graduation from West Point, Pastor Dave served in the Army Corps of Engineers for fifteen years. While in the Army, Pastor Dave achieved registration as a Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He served tours of duty in Germany, Virginia, New York City, and West Point.
 
Pastor Dave was ordained in Tremont, Maine in 1995. He served a church in Pennsylvania before beginning his ministry in Boylston in February of 2001. He holds standing as an ordained minister in the Evangelical Association of Reformed and Congregational Christian Churches (www.evangelicalassociation.org).
 
PD serves as the Chaplain of the Boylston Fire and Police Departments. He is a Chaplain on the Central Massachusetts Critical Incident Stress Management Team, serving primarily first responders, such as firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and police officers. He is also a certified instructor of the QPR Gatekeeper suicide prevention course.
 
Pastor Dave is married to Kathy (Stinson) Buchanan who is the Director of Special Education for Clinton Public Schools. They have two adult children, Mrs. Mary Pellegrino and Dave Buchanan (III).
